International Cooperation Unit is a structural unit of the National Academy Internal Affairs, which organizes and coordinates international cooperation activity.

Functions of the unit:

1. Organization and coordination of international cooperation with law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, research institutions and other institutions of foreign countries, foreign and international organizations.

2. Creation of conditions and opportunities for NAIA personnel to familiarize themselves with foreign experience on law enforcement training, the status and results of scientific research on crime prevention.

3. Participation in the selection of candidates for international duty assignments.

4. Conduction of briefing on compliance with the requirements of professional discipline, international protocol and etiquette on the design (within the competence) of the relevant documents.

5. Generalization and analysis of the results of international cooperation, development of proposals for improvement of this area of activity.

6. Informing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on planned measures of international character (preparation, course and results) in accordance with the established procedure.
