Institute of Leading Personnel Training and Advanced Training – a structural unit of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, the main activity of which is training (retraining, advanced training) of the leadership of the National Police of Ukraine, training (specialization) of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, National Police of Ukraine, other law enforcement agencies, scientific, pedagogical and managerial staff of higher education institutions, civil servants of ministries, other central executive bodies, local state administrations, officials of local self-government bodies, employees of other enterprises, institutions and organizations.

The Institute provides:

– training (retraining, advanced training) for the leadership of the National Police of Ukraine;

– advanced training and specialization for employees of the National Police of Ukraine, as well as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other central executive bodies, whose activities are coordinated and directed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies;

– advanced training for scientific, pedagogical and managerial staff of higher education institutions;

– advanced training for civil servants of ministries, other central executive bodies, local state administrations, officials of local self-government bodies, employees of other enterprises, institutions and organizations;

Institute provides advanced training (specialization) on a contractual basis to:

– specialists who perform the function of conducting psychophysiological research (testing) using a polygraph;

– civil servants on the integration of refugees and persons in need of additional protection into Ukrainian society;

– civil servants, heads of local state administrations, their first deputies, local government officials on corruption prevention;

– emergency commissioners.

The educational process is carried out on the basis of the Institute of Management Training and Advanced Training, Educational and Scientific Institutes, regional branches of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Correspondence and Distance Learning and the Precarpathian Faculty (Ivano-Frankivsk).

The most experienced specialists of the profile Departments of the Academy, as well as employees of practical divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, other law enforcement agencies, scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, educational and scientific institutions of Kyiv are involved in the work of Institute.
